Indigenous to Turkey but grown here in Australia. Last year we had presented this in the Good Food and Wine Show in Sydney. The response was more than we expected. We sold out. Unfortunately, this year's show has been cancelled, but we are proud to say that we have these beauties available for sale. Our website is being updated, but if you would like a bottle contacts us directly for now.

Boğazkere is an indigenous Turkish variety, originating from the Diyarbakir region of South Eastern Anatolia. It is known for it to have a strong body and  pronounced tannins. It produces wines of rich ruby colour with plum and dried fruit flavour.

The background and the 1967 on the label is a homage of the year Turkish Nationals first immigrated to Australia after both nations signed a bilateral agreement. These first steps in friendship between these two nations, gives its name to the first and only Turkish native variety that is grown on Australian soil. Grown, produced and bottled for The Turkish Drop.

A collaboration with Lokum and Tallis Wines.
