Ancyra takes its name from the ancient capital of Anatolia—Ankara—where this winemaking story first began. The name, derived from the Latin word for “anchor,” has long symbolized the city, famously founded by the Phrygian King Midas. This heritage echoes through the Ancyra Kalecik Karası 2023, a wine that reflects both history and finesse.
Crafted from old vines rooted in the heart of the Kalecik region, the grapes benefit from a unique mix of continental and transitional climates. These conditions nurture the vibrant fruit character and natural acidity that define this expressive rosé.
The winemaking process begins with a short maceration and gentle pressurage, followed by a careful débourbage to clarify the juice. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and bright fruit profile.
Pale salmon pink in colour, it offers an inviting nose bursting with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and nectarine. On the palate, it is crisp and rounded, with charming fruit expression and a lingering, fresh finish that showcases elegance and balance.
