Kocabağ K of Kapadokya 2024 — Öküzgözü & Boğazkere
A characterful red from Cappadocia in Central Anatolia, bringing together two of Türkiye’s most important indigenous red grape varieties: Öküzgözü and Boğazkere.
Öküzgözü contributes vibrant red fruit, freshness and lively acidity, while Boğazkere adds structure, darker fruit, spice and tannin. Together they create a balanced expression that is approachable yet distinctly Turkish.
Kocabağ produces the wine in Cappadocia, a remarkable high-altitude region shaped by volcanic soils and a continental climate. The winery’s traditional rock-carved cellars provide naturally stable conditions for winemaking and maturation.
In the glass, expect a deep cherry colour with aromas and flavours of cherry, red fruits and plum, complemented by touches of cinnamon, spice and subtle oak. The palate is medium-bodied and rounded, with balanced acidity, soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.
