Kocabağ is one of the oldest wineries in the heart of Cappadocia, a region renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage. This family-owned estate manages 64 acres of vineyards, focusing on cultivating native Anatolian grape varieties that reflect the unique terroir of the region. This particular wine is a 2024 blend of Öküzgözü and Boğazkere, proudly produced in Cappadocia, within the province of Nevşehir.

The winemaking process takes place in traditional rock-carved cellars, which naturally maintain ideal humidity and a consistent temperature year-round, regardless of outside conditions. Grapes are handled with care using a gravity-flow system, ensuring gentle extraction and preservation of the fruit's character.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dark cherry hue. The nose reveals vibrant aromas of cherry and red fruits, interwoven with subtle layers of oak, cinnamon, and plum. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, round, and well-balanced, offering soft tannins, harmonious acidity, and a refined level of alcohol. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a lasting impression of finesse and structure.

Best served at 17–18°C, this wine pairs beautifully with rich red meat dishes featuring spicy sauces—think Beyti Kebab, T-bone steak, or even a classic spaghetti Carbonara. It also complements hard yellow cheeses, making it a versatile and rewarding companion to a range of meals.
