Kavaklıdere Egeo Red Blend 2022

A rich and elegant Turkish red combining Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Güney, Denizli, in Türkiye’s Aegean wine region.

The vineyards sit approximately 750 metres above sea level on clay-calcareous soils with gravel. This combination of altitude, warm days and cooler nights helps develop ripe fruit while retaining freshness and structure.

The three varieties each bring something different to the blend:

Merlot provides ripe fruit, softness and roundness. Syrah contributes dark fruit, spice and depth. Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure, tannin and length.

Following vinification, the wine is matured in French oak barrels, adding further complexity and integrating the fruit, tannins and oak into a polished, structured red.

In the glass, expect a deep claret colour with cherry highlights and aromas of dark forest fruits, sweet spice and dark chocolate. The palate is fresh and persistent, with ripe tannins, integrated oak and a long, elegant finish.
