Altın Köpük, Turkey’s first naturally sparkling wine, is a true expression of Cappadocia’s high-altitude terroir and winemaking innovation. Made from the native Emir grape, it originates from an old vineyard located at 950 meters above sea level, where white volcanic and clay-calcareous soils contribute to its vibrant minerality and aromatic complexity.

The vineyard’s goblet and double guyot-trained vines are spaced at 2 x 1 meters, yielding an average of just 50 hectolitres per hectare. This low-yield approach, paired with hand-harvesting under a classic continental climate, ensures fruit of exceptional concentration and balance.

Altın Köpük is crafted using the méthode de la cuve close, where secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized tanks. It is then aged sur lies, resting on its sediment to develop additional layers of texture and flavour. This method enhances the wine’s depth while preserving its freshness and purity.

In the glass, it displays a bright yellow hue and an elegant stream of fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is rich and expressive, revealing floral notes and ripe stone fruits, delicately overlaid with hints of brioche and toasted bread. The palate is creamy and concentrated, with a refined mousse and a graceful finish that lingers with freshness and finesse.

Best served at 6–8°C, Altın Köpük is a perfect match for shellfish, sushi, seafood risotto, creamy desserts, and even ice cream. It also shines as an elegant aperitif, offering a uniquely Turkish take on sparkling wine with poise and personality.
