Paşaeli CSKS 2023 — Cabernet Sauvignon & Karasakız
 
A distinctive Turkish red bringing together Cabernet Sauvignon and Karasakız, combining an internationally recognised variety with one of Türkiye’s historic indigenous grapes.
 
The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Kaynaklar near İzmir, where vineyards sit approximately 235 metres above sea level in the Aegean region.
 
The Karasakız comes from vineyards on the northern slopes of Mount Ida (Kaz Dağları) in Çanakkale, near the ancient city of Troy, at approximately 500 metres elevation. Karasakız is a native Turkish red variety prized for its freshness, red-fruit character and ability to produce elegant, highly drinkable wines.
 
Together, Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and depth while Karasakız contributes freshness, elegance and a distinctly Turkish character.
 
Following fermentation and extended skin contact, the wine is matured for approximately six months in French oak, adding complexity without overwhelming its vibrant fruit.
 
In the glass, expect a brilliant ruby colour with fresh red and dark fruit, subtle sweet spice and a smooth, supple palate. Silky tannins and refreshing acidity lead into a refined, persistent finish.
